St. George's church : Coptic

The church of St. George lies within the Babylon Fortress in Coptic Cairo. This is also the same location of the Hanging Church. St. George’s church dates back to the 10th century or earlier. It is the only round church in Egypt. Its current structure was rebuilt and completed in 1909 after a fire that heavily damaged it. Next to it is St. George’s monastery, which is normally closed to the public. This church is part of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate.
